New Vinyl Projects

I know I haven't been posting my projects lately but since Blogger changed it has made it really hard to post my projects. sigh. As I type this half of my page is not even loaded. It is extremely hard to upload pictures now. I just wish they would change it back! Maybe it's just my computer. Who knows. Anyone else having trouble or is just me?

Anywho, here are a couple of the vinyl projects that I have done lately. The plate was for my niece. She bought it from Southern Living and asked if I would put "something on it". She orginally wanted a bible scripture but I knew it wouldn't fit. The bag is for my other neice who is having a major surgery soon. I filled it with all kinds of goodies for her hospital stay. Thanks to all the "peas" who gave helpful suggestions.  I had the bag made but I put the vinyl on the cup and lap desk. My neice is 15 and has spinal bifida. She is my heart. She truly is an Angel! Her surgery is coming up Aug. 21 if you would like to remember her in your prayers.

Inside the bag I put little things to make her hospital stay a little bighter/funner!

So far I have put
Coloring books, crayons, markers, pens, scissors, glue a pencil box. I put her name on the pencil box too of course. :)

A Justin Beiber book and pillow case (from Claire's).

Glow in the dark braclets, necklaces and other little odds and ends from the dollar tree. (I love that store).

A MP3 player with Justin's newest songs. A new portable DVD player with Justin Beibers new movie, Never Say Never. She loves JB. Can't ya tell? :)

Here is the bag for the DVD player. My cousin put her initals on it for me. It is also going to house her mp3 players and movies.
Thank you Sandy!!
I also bought her some stickers, paper, and easy puzzles. I know I went a little bit over board but I would do anything for that child! I love her to pieces! Thanks for reading. I apologize for any errors. It wouldn't let me spell check or go back and change anything. :( Have a wonderful weekend! Take Care.

Baby Shower Gift Bags and Recyclable Crafts

I apologize in advance for the picture quality. These were all taken with my cell phone.

These are gift bags that I made for two different baby showers that I am helping with this summer. I believe I cut out 70 boxes total. Whew that was a job!!

We made these wind chimes in my special education classroom today. I covered an old cd with scrapbook paper and used my crop-a-dile to punch the small holes at the bottom. We tied on old beads and bells to make the "chimes". They turned out really cute and they really do jingle. :)

I found this idea online. They are robots made from soup cans, lug nuts and different odds and ends we had in the classroom. These were REALLY fun to make. We even glued on old earrings. :)

Funeral Home Baby Books

I've been making baby books for my local funeral home for over a year now. They knew I scrapbooked so they asked if I would do these for them since they couldn't buy them anywhere for babies. I pretty much copied the book they had but with a lot less pages and I added a place for a picture and pocket for keepsakes and the newpaper clipping in the back.

vintage journal

Here's a quick altered composition book that I made for a co-worker for Christmas. I love how it turned out. I inked and stamped some of the pages. I also added some scripture vellum through out the pages and made a pocket on the inside cover. I almost want to keep it! :)

My Mojo is flowing!!

This was the 1st Sketch Challenge.

I got a good bit accomplished this week while off on vacation!
I'm so excited! They are having an awesome crop in Dilly Land. It's a wonderful way to get my mojo going. I hope to get a good bit more completed tonight and tomorrow.

This was the "bad picture challenge". Haley had her eyes closed in this one.

This was the "family picture challenge". Now I've got to buy more scrapbooks because I have no albums for all these layouts to go in. Oh well.. just another excuse to buy more stuff...haha!

Shoe Box Album {a work in progress}

I've had so much fun working on this project. I call it my {shoe box album}. Although I did get the "idea" from twopeasinabucket. Kerry Barker used a 7 Gypsies library tray to make her's but it's Christmas and I need to conserve so I just used a shoe box. If I ever do another one, I will use a baby shoe box. (:

Tags using Close to my heart Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge and dyed doilies. I'm going to incorporate more journaling spots/pages next.

The pattern paper is from Stampin Up.

A little pocket with a tag inside. I'm half way finished. I hope to be finished in a few days.

Sketch Night Layouts

I played this weekend. Scrapadilly was having their November Sketch night. I {heart} sketches. It's a no-brainer. AND... that is exactly what I need! I'm a slow scrapper and it takes all the guess work out for you. Besides, I could never come up with amazing layouts on my own.. :)

Addams Family Crop

I joined the website Scrapadilly where a lot of my old cyber scrapping buddies from Creating Keepsakes used to be. I am so excited to be reconnected with some of them! They are holding a online crop called The Addams Family Crop until Oct. 31. I did manage to get 3 scrapbook pages in this week in between work, cleaning, etc. etc. Making scrapbook pages has always been a "challenge" for me because I am so slow at it. I usually have to look for ideas for the longest time before deciding what to do/make. This scrapbook page is a scraplift from Jana Eubank. I love to scraplift!!

On this layout I had to use a "bad picture". This is not the best picture of my daughter because you can't see her entire face but I love her shadow on the hay bail.
Sweet and Simple

Lastly I had to create a layout of something I love. Of course I can't just choose one, so I chose family, reading and M&M's.
